Positive change is taking place at LMJMB, and we want residents to be at the heart of it.

As part of this renewal, we’re strengthening the resident voice in our decision-making by reshaping our Sub-Committees and creating more opportunities for residents to contribute their knowledge, experience and perspective.

We’re looking for residents with knowledge and experience in one or more of five key areas to join our Sub-Committees and work alongside fully qualified and experienced external members and LMJMB’s senior staff.

Our five Sub-Committees

 

 

As a resident member, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to important discussions, bring a resident perspective to the table and play a meaningful part in key decisions about how our services are delivered and improved.

The role will require some preparation before meetings and attendance at approximately four to six evening meetings a year.

Audit & Risk

Help LMJMB consider the risks and challenges that could affect residents, our homes and services. You’ll contribute to discussions around safety, financial responsibility, managing risk and how we learn and improve when things don’t go to plan.

People

Help shape how LMJMB supports its staff and teams to deliver great services for residents. You’ll contribute to discussions about our people, workplace culture, skills and ways of working, bringing a resident perspective to what good service looks and feels like.

Customer

Help improve residents’ experience of LMJMB and our services. You’ll contribute to discussions about communication, accessibility, customer service and how easy it is for residents to get the help and support they need.

Property & Planning

Help shape discussions about our homes, estates and future plans. You’ll contribute to areas such as repairs, maintenance, building safety, planned works and investment, helping ensure residents’ priorities and experiences are part of the conversation.

Performance

Help us understand how well LMJMB is delivering for residents. You’ll contribute to discussions about service performance, resident outcomes and where improvements are needed, helping us focus on the areas that can make the biggest difference.

Residents Scrutiny Panel

We will also have a Resident Scrutiny Panel, giving residents the opportunity to have a direct say in how housing services are delivered and improved.

There will be different ways to get involved, including time-limited-service reviews and focused “task and fix” activities looking at specific issues or areas for improvement. Residents will be able to register their interest in advance and tell us about their skills, experience and areas of interest. This will help us involve the right people when relevant opportunities come up.

By getting involved, you can share your views and experiences, help us understand what matters most to residents and make practical recommendations for change.
