UPDATE: Peveril House Lifts
UPDATE:
Dear Residents,
Please accept our sincere apologies for the recent prolonged outage affecting both lifts in the building. We fully understand how frustrating and inconvenient this has been.
Both lifts are over 25 years old, and we are actively exploring options to begin modernisation works as soon as possible. In the meantime, we are doing everything we can to reinstate at least one lift back into service by Friday.
On Friday, our lift technicians from Summit will be on site, along with our independent lift consultants, who will provide a second opinion and help us develop a plan for the immediate future.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.
Dear Peveril House residents,
Please note that Lift 1119 (right-hand lift) was reinstated earlier today and operated for approximately two hours. Unfortunately, shortly after the technician left the site, a resident got stuck inside. An engineer promptly attended, released the trapped passenger, and made every effort to reinstate at least one lift. However, due to persistent system errors, the lift had to be taken out of service to prevent further incidents.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience.
We will continue to provide updates as soon as we have more information from the engineers.
