Planners drop latest application for mobile phone equpiment at Symington House

The latest planning application for mobile phone equipment at Symington House has been withdrawn by Southwark Council following the intervention of the Chaucer Ward councillors. The JMB, Lawson Estate TRA and local residents had asked the councillors to step in because of concerns about the concentration of mobile phone equipment on the roof of Symington House

The application (Ref No: 12AP2726 for replacement of existing 300mm dish antenna with a 600mm dish antenna at roof level) has now been treated as withdrawn by officers and will not therefore be progressed.

This is due to adequate information in relation to the ICNIRP (radiowave) certificate not being provided by the applicants. Any future application will have to be accompanied by an appropriate certificate in this regard.

If you have any further questions contact the JMB office.
